On the second day of play at the North South Intercollegiate, the Florida Atlantic University men's golf team lowered its team score but fell to sixth place. Michael Berger shot a 70 on Tuesday to lead the Owls and Anthony Haderer returned from an injury to record a 72.
The Owls posted a team score of 299 on the par 72, 6,484-yard Jacksonville Beach Golf Course on Saturday for a two-day total of 600. Florida Gulf Coast University won the event with a 568.
By improving his second round score by seven shots, Berger tied for 11th place with a 147. Playing as an independent, Kelly McHugh finished tied for 15th with scores of 75 and 74.
