FORT MYERS, FL - The Florida Atlantic University women's swim and dive team performed well at Florida Gulf Coast University in Fort Myers, FL. The Owls were able to top the University of Tampa and Florida A&M University but were outscored by host Florida Gulf Coast University.
FAU won four of 12 individual events, one relay and senior Lauren Harvath won the 3 Meter Dive competition. Freshman Jonna Nyback registered four victories, placing first in the 200 Yard Freestyle (1:53.93), 100 Yard Freestyle (52.41) and 50 Yard Freestyle (24.31). Additionally, Nyback was the third leg of the 200 Medley Relay team that won in 1:47.29. Senior Lindsey Alexander was the other event winner, taking the 100 Yard Backstroke in 58.74.
FAU will be back in action at the 2008 Short Course National Championships in Atlanta, Georgia on Thursday, December 4 through Sunday, December 7.
