MIAMI, FL - Morgan Johns had 12 kills as the Florida Atlantic University volleyball team ended their 2008 campaign with a 3-0 (14-25, 22-25,20-25) loss to FIU on Saturday night.
The Owls fell behind early in the first set and never caught up, losing 14-25. In set number two, the score was tied at 17, before FIU tallied five straight points on their way to a three point win. The third set was tied at 18 when the Golden Panthers took five of the next six points to win the set 25-20.
FAU ends the season with 12-17 record, doubling last season's win total and are expected to return their top five players in terms of kills for the 2009 season.
