The Florida Atlantic swimming and diving team was back in action at FAU pool against Florida State University and Florida International University. With a dual meet scoring system, the FAU women's 214 points outscored FIU's 73. However FSU's men's and women's team scored more points than FAU.
Most Owls improved on their individual marks from last week's season opening meet. Lauren Harvath improved by 37 points in her 1 meter dive score, as fellow diver Kyle Polk jumped 60 points. Csaba Pek finished second in the 200 yard backstroke with a time of 1:48.53, almost two seconds faster than last week. Pek later notched a win in the 200 yard IM, stopping the clock at 1:54.04. Ewa Jamborska won the 200 yard IM in 2:13 and also knocked two seconds off her 200 yard breaststroke seasonal best (2:26.43). Mikolaj Czarnecki won the 100 yard butterfly event in 51.04. FAU assembled both winning 200 yard freestyle relay teams, with the men combining for a time of 1:32 and the women at 1:40.07.
Next up for the Florida Atlantic swim and dive team will be its' annual alumni meet at FAU pool on Saturday, October 18 at 11 a.m.
