DAYTONA BEACH, FL - The Florida Atlantic men's golf team finished second at the Bethune-Cookman Tournament in Daytona Beach, FL. After a rainout of the first hole, the tournament was shortened to 36 holes and was conducted on Friday, October 24 through Sunday, October 26.
Shooting under par for both rounds, FAU (287, 286- 573) led through the first 18 holes, but a strong second round by Stetson University (290, 280- 570) allowed the Hatters claim victory by three strokes. "The guys played great Saturday shooting 1 under as a team and even better on the Sunday shooting 2 under" head coach Angelo Sands. "When you shoot two consecutive days under par, that's good, solid golf."
