FAU Tames Mean Green 3-1

BOCA RATON, FL - Kendall Utz had a career-high 21 digs in the Florida Atlantic University volleyball team's 3-1 (24-26, 25-18, 25-16, 25-21) win over North Texas on Friday night.
The first set was a tug of war between the two teams from the very beginning and was tied at 24 before two Owl errors gave UNT the win. FAU (10-7, 3-2 Sun Belt) controlled the set from the start and were up as many as eight points on their way to a 25-18 win. The Owls maintained their dominance in the third set and never trailed winning by a margin of 25-16.
Set number four, similar too the first set was a battle of wills between the two teams. The set was tied as 8 when Nicole Gerig served FAU to a 14-8 lead. The lead swelled to seven at 188-11, before the Mean Green climbed back to within two at 21-19 before two Kristyna Dzmuranova kills and an Amy Huddleston error gave FAU the win.
