Women's Tennis Opens Spring Season

In the first match of the spring season, the Florida Atlantic University women's tennis team dropped a 7-0 decision to the University of Illinois in Boca Raton. With two freshmen on the roster and only five players available in the match, the Owls were looking to gain experience in their first match.
"Our freshman handled themselves well," said Head Coach Mary Dailey. "As the day went on they improved. I am looking for the players to shake off the rust and continue to improve."
Playing in the no. 3 spot, Pia Terol captured five games against Illinois' Marissa Lambropoulos to lead the Owls.
