TALLAHASSEE, FL - Florida Atlantic University's cross country team competed at the FSU Invite on Saturday.
The women finished fourth in the team competition and were led by sophomore Friederike Feil, who finished 7th overall. Barbara Fronrath finished18th overall. Freshman Emily Seymore (43rd), followed by Toni Jackson, who finished 52nd and Charlene Luxama rounded out the scoring field for the Owls. Christina Dutko and Jennifer Schwan also ran well at the meet.
The men had an especially strong showing, led by Kyle Butler, who finished 11th in 27:20.57. He was closely followed by Stephen Dassin, who ran a 27:31.91 to finish 14th. Timothy Haines gave the Owls three finshers in the top-30 as he ran a 28:12.62 to place 29th. John Roy (29:01.15, 44th) and Jordan Dopkins (29:09.75, 46th) rounded out the scoring for the men.
Brandon Oakes (29:14.96, 51st) and David Rundio (30:40.07, 68th) also ran well for FAU.
