Boca Raton, FL - Florida Atlantic University sophomore Praewnapa Phol-Uayporn was named a member of the Sun Belt All-Conference women's golf team on Wednesday afternoon.
"Praewnapa has been our number one player all year and is in the top 100 in the country," said Head Coach Joan Joyce. "She has steadily improved over the season and can only get better as her career at FAU progresses."
Phol-Uayporn won three different tournaments in 2006-2007. She was victorious at the Hatter Fall Classic (11/06-11/07) shooting an even par in the final round. At the Spring Lake Intercollegiate (3/09-3/10) she shot 1-over par over the two-round event to capture the medalist honors. During the Cincinnati Spring Invitational (3/23-3/24) Phol-Uayporn shot 1-under par in the final round to not only win the medalist honors, but also propel the Owls to their first team victory of the year. In her final round of the season at the Sun Belt Conference Tournament (4/16-4/18) she shot a 70, the lowest score of any competitor at the event.
The sophomore placed in the top five during six of her ten tournaments in 2006-2007. Her 74.9 scoring average was the best on the team.
