Fort Pierce, FL - Florida Atlantic University men's golf is off to a fast start at the Treasure Coast Classic in Fort Pierce, FL. In the three-day event, the Owls are in second place after one round of action that began Wednesday.
Adam Kolloff (30, 36 - 66) is in fifth place after shooting 5-under par at the par 71, 6,430 yard Indian Hills golf course. His teammate Michael Berger (33, 34 - 67) is just behind him in a tie for sixth place. Mark Washburn (36, 32 - 68) rounded out the Owl golfers in the top ten with a tie for eighth place finish in the first-round. Billy Bowling (37, 32- 69) and Andrew Storm (36, 38 - 74) complete the group of five that are competing in the event with a tie for 12th and 48th place finish.
FAU (270) is only one stroke behind current leader St. Johns (269). The Red Storm boast the current high scorer, George Zolotas (30, 31 -61), who shot 10-under par after one day.
Florida Atlantic begins the second round on Thursday morning.
