Tampa, FL - On Sunday afternoon the Florida Atlantic men's golf team completed the Ron Smith Invitational in Tampa, FL. The three day event ended with Owl golfers Michael Berger and Adam Kolloff finishing in the top 35.
Berger (74, 74, 76 -224) finished the par-72, 7014 yard course in a tie for 28th place. He would shoot 8-over par over the three days. Kolloff (78, 72, 75- 225) placed in a tie for 32nd, shooting an even par in the second round. Andrew Storm (79, 79, 74- 232), Billy Bowling (80, 77, 76 -233), and Derren Garber (81, 79, 78- 238) finished in a tie for 62nd, 65th, and 79th respectively.
FAU (311, 302, 301- 914) as a team placed 15th out of 17 teams. MTSU (288, 292, 289- 869) was the team winner. Mike Van Sickle (71, 71, 71- 213) of Marquette was the individual medalist, shooting 3-under par.
The Owls will be back in action on Wednesday in the St. Johns Invitational, hosted in Fort Pierce, FL.
