Women's Tennis Improves to 5-4

BOCA RATON, FL - The Florida Atlantic University women's tennis team improved to 5-4 on the year with a 7-0 victory over NJIT, on Monday.
Claudia Kecht captured her second-consecutive singles victory as the top seed and freshman Eve Xanthopoulos was victorious at no. 6, her first collegiate non-exhibition match.
The Owls captured the doubles point winning at no. 1 and no. 2 then moved to singles where FAU swept each match, only Kecht's going to three sets.
FAU will next play host the Miami (OH), 1 p.m. Wednesday, at Patch Reef Park.
