Former Men's Soccer Player Signs With Belgian Club

Former Florida Atlantic University men's soccer player Max Holmstrom recently signed a three-year deal with RSC Anderlecht of Belgium.
The deal was part of a transfer that sent Holmstrom, who plays professionally as Max Von Schlebrugge, from Hammarby in Sweden, to Anderlecht. Anderlecht plays in Belgium's Jupiler League.
RSC Anderlecht has won the Belgium's first division titles 28 times in its history and has played in the UEFA Champions Cup six years in a row. They are currently first in the Jupiler League standings.
"I am ready for the challenge", Holmstrom said upon arrival with his new team. Holmstrom won Second Team All-Conference honors as an Owl in 1997, when he was also named to the Atlantic Sun All-Tournament team.
