Charleston, SC - Florida Atlantic Men's Golf opened the 2007 spring season on Monday with two rounds at the CSU Spring Kick Off Tournament hosted by Charleston Southern. Mark Washburn is in the top ten entering the final day of the three-round competition.
Washburn (73, 74-155) shot 6-over-par and is tied for seventh place in the par-71, 6593 yard course. Derren Garber (84, 71- 155) improved his stroke by 13 in the second round, shooting an even par to wrap up the afternoon in a tie for 26th place. Michael Berger (77, 80- 157), Adam Kolloff (77, 82, -159) and Andrew Storm (79, 82, -161) finished their first day of the Spring in a tie for 32nd, 38th, and 46th respectively.
The Owls (306, 307- 613) are currently in a tie for sixth place out of 12 competitors. They trail Campbell (287, 292- 579) by 34 strokes heading into the tournaments final day.
The CSU Spring Invitational will conclude on Tuesday afternoon.
