BOCA RATON, FL - The Florida Atlantic University men's golf team travels to PGA National in Palm Beach Gardens, FL for the Nova Southeastern University Shark Invitational on Monday and Tuesday.
The 15-team event includes host Nova Southeastern, defending NCAA Division II national champion Barry University, West Florida, Florida Southern, Valdosta State and Barton College - all ranked in the top 20 nationally in Division II by golfstat.com. Indianapolis, Lynn University, Florida Tech, and defending tournament champion Eckerd College will also be competing, along with NAIA participants Johnson and Wales, Embry-Riddle and Northwood (FL).
Play begins on the 6,806-yard par 72 Haig Course at 8:30 a.m. on Monday with 36 continuous holes. The final 18 holes are scheduled for an 8:30 a.m. start on Tuesday.
Sophomore Billy Bowling paced the Owls with a two-day total of 153 (+11) at the Mission Inn Classic a week ago, finishing tied for 55th in a field of 90. The event, hosted by St. John's University, was the first of three fall events for the FAU men's squad.
