Miami, FL - The Florida Atlantic University men's soccer team lost to Florida International University 2-0 Wednesday night.
The loss drops the Owls to 2-4-0.
The first goal came in the 40th minute when Florida International forward David Hope got a through ball from teammate Richard Martinez and was able to beat keeper Phillip Lamarre from 19 yards out.
In the 50th minute, Hope scored again when he received a low cross from Dadi Kristjansson and tapped it in for his second goal of the night.
FAU's offense was active, taking 15 shots in the match, but Florida International keeper Shaun Crowe made seven saves and was able to shut out the Owls.
FAU returns to action on Friday when they host Central Connecticut State at 7:30 p.m.
