FAU Football Events for Everyone

Boca Raton - Florida Atlantic University's football team is well into their preseason drills. Fans are invited to join the team each afternoon to watch practice, but also are encouraged to take advantage of the opportunity to meet the team prior to the September 2 kick-off at Clemson University in South Carolina.
Now - October 12 (Season Tickets)
Head Coach Howard Schnellenberger and the FAU Owls are scheduled to take on some of the nation's best this fall. The Owls visit Clemson University, University of South Carolina, Oklahoma State University and Kansas State University before the first home football game against Southern Utah University on October 12. FAU's home schedule will feature a Sun Belt slate with a Bowl Championship Series (BCS) spot on the line.
Season tickets are on sale now. Enjoy five great home games including the season finale at Dolphin Stadium where the Owls will play host to conference rival Florida International University (FIU) in the fifth-annual Shula Bowl on November 25.
Thursday, August 17 (All Day)
Fans can get a glimpse of the 2006 FAU Owls without breaking a sweat. The Sun Belt Conference will feature Head Coach Howard Schnellenberger and senior Nello Faulk, Thursday, August 17 on the Sun Belt website. All SBC teams will be featured individually August 16-25. Thursday, August 17 (5:30 p.m.)
The Owl Club will hold its monthly social at Tarpon Bend Food & Tackle on Thursday, August 17 at 5:30 p.m. Come mingle with FAU coaches, fans and future alumni. Free appetizers will be served and a cash bar will be available. Tarpon Bend Food & Tackle is located at 200 SW Second St. in Fort Lauderdale.
Saturday, August 19, (Noon - until scrimmage)
Join Head Coach Howard Schnellenberger and the FAU football team for FanFest 2006. Bring your family and friends for a day of football and fun at the Tom Oxley practice field, located on the FAU Boca Raton campus. The festivities will begin at noon with the football team taking the field at 2 p.m.
Meet the FAU football team, players and coaches, as well as the volleyball and men's and women's soccer teams. It will be a great opportunity to get autographs, take pictures and listen to the band. Fans also will be treated to an intra-squad scrimmage and children will be able to enjoy an interactive area throughout the day's events. Parking and admission are free.
