Booth Finishes 11th at East Regional

GREENSBORO, NC - Yanique Booth finished 11th in the 100m hurdles at the NCAA East Regional on Friday, concluding her 2006 track and field campaign for Florida Atlantic University.
Booth, a junior from Kingston, Jamaica, finished in 13.67 seconds, good enough for second place in heat #1, but the mark was 0.9 seconds shy of the 8th place qualifying runner for the regional final.
The Owls have one remaining competitor at the NCAA Regional. The 4x400m relay team will take to the track on Saturday afternoon. Krystena Castro (discus) elected not to participate, despite qualifying by wining the Atlantic Sun Conference title.
The meet is being hosted by North Carolina A&T State University.
