Boca Raton, FL - Florida Atlantic University's Athletic department is proud to offer a "fun bus" traveling to Gainesville, FL, this weekend.
The Owls' softball team, which captured the 2006 Atlantic Sun Conference Championship, is scheduled to play their first game 5 p.m., Friday. Win or lose, the "fun bus" will leave 7 a.m., Saturday for Gainesville.
Should the team advance, the bus will remain in Gainesville and will return one hour following elimination. Fans who want to make the trip should RSVP to Trish at 561-297-3199 by 3 p.m. Friday. It is also important to leave your contact information in the event the schedule changes. 25 spots will be first come first serve and are free. Fans will be responsible for their game ticket and lodging.
Those who cannot attend the game can track it via the internet at www.fausports.com. Fans can follow the game free of charge by going to the softball page, clicking on the tournament icon and choosing the word Gametracker. You can also hear the play-by-play by clicking on listen. There is a monthly charge for this service and will take a few minutes to sign up, if you have not already done so.
