DEBARY, FL -- Praewnapa Phol-Uayporn led the field on day three with a final round score of 70 to secure Florida Atlantic University a third-place at the Atlantic Sun Conference Championship on Wednesday at the DeBary Country Club in DeBary, FL.
Her round of 70 was four strokes better than the next-best score, posted by second-place finisher Ashley Barton (75-74-74, 223) who scored in just ahead of Phol-Uayporn (78-84-70, 232) in third. For her efforts, Phol-Uayporn earned All-Tournament honors.
June Bolme (82-76-81, 239) fired a final-round 81 to finish 11th among individual competitors, while Sandi MacDougal improved her second-round score by ten strokes to finish at 242 for the 54-hole competition (80-86-76).
Kendall Kirby (85-80-85, 250) and Kimberly D'Andrea (86-80-85, 251) rounded out the field for FAU, who finished with a three-round total of 957 (325-320-312, 957), 13 shots better than fourth-place Jacksonville University.
Campbell University took home the title with a final round 301 to finish at 923 for the championship. It is the Camels' seventh A-Sun women's golf title, and earns them an automatic berth in next month's NCAA regional.
