MIAMI LAKES, FL -- Praewnapa Phol-Uayporn fired a 78 (+6) on day one of the Ryder College Challenge to lead the Florida Atlantic University women's golf on Friday at Don Shula's Golf Club and Resort in Miami Lakes, FL.
The freshman finished the day tied for 19th while posting par on 13 holes of the 6,200 yard par 72 course.
Sandi MacDougall and June Bolme fired front-nine 38's and finished with scores of 79 and 80 respectively, while Kendall Kirby (88) and Kimberly D'Andrea (94) also took to the course for the Owls.
FAU as a team sits at +37, 27 shots behind the leader, Rollins College.
Round two will take place Saturday as the weekend tournament continues.
