Boca Raton, FL - Elodie Wendling captured a three-set match victory for the fourth and deciding point in Florida Atlantic University's 4-3 victory over Brown University, Monday afternoon at Patch Reef Park.
The match was the final home match of the 2006 season and will lead into FAU's final regular-season match scheduled for next Sunday at Stetson.
The match began with Brown capturing the doubles point by winning no. 2 and no. 3.
The two teams then moved into singles play. Sandra Moreno-Perregaard was the first to come off the court with an Owls point, playing no. 6. She was followed by Kathreine Bartnik at no. 4, Pia Terol at no. 5 and the match clincher Wendling at no. 2.
