Deland FL, (Nov 7, 2006)- Sophomore Praewnapa Phol-Uayporn continued her stellar season by winning the Hatter Fall Classic in Deland, FL on Tuesday. June Bolme also had a strong showing, coming in second place at the par 72 6,000 yard course.

"The team played very well today," said Head Coach Joan Joyce. "I was really proud of them coming into the last day down 13 shots and then to have Praewnapa and June finish first and second was something special."

Phol-Uayporn (77, 74, 72- 223) won her first tournament of the season shooting 7-over par. She has finished in the top five in every fall competition for the Owls. Bolme (75, 76, 73- 224) missed a first place tie with her teammate by one stroke. She landed in second place for the second consecutive tournament.

FAU (315, 318, 300 - 932) finished their fall season with a second place performance. Daytona Beach Community College (317, 307, 306 - 930) won the event over FAU by a narrow two stroke margin.

Sandi MacDougall (81, 81, 76 - 238) shot her low round of the fall in the final day at the Victoria Hills golf course. She ended up with a season best tied for 16th place performance. Jennifer Norton (81, 87, 79 - 247) shot 7-over par in the tournaments final round and completed the event with a season best 24th place result. Gina Larsen (94, 87, 83 -264) rounds out the FAU competitors with a season best 35th place outing.

The Owls will return on February 19th for their spring season of golf at the Miccosukee tournament in Miami, FL.
