Debary, FL (Oct 29th, 2006)-- Praewnapa Phol-Uayporn and June Bolme are ranked in the top two as Florida Atlantic University completed the first round of the DeBary Intercollegiate on Sunday in second place.

Uayporn (35-36, 71) stands alone in first place after shooting 1-under par in the par 72 6,078 yard Debary Country Club course. Bolme (36-37, 73) is two strokes behind her sophomore teammate, and shot 1-over par in the opening round to take a share of second place.

The Owls (301) are in second place out of 14 teams competing in Debary, FL. Minnesota (298) has a three stroke advantage on FAU, boasting four competitors in the top ten after Sunday.

Kimberly D'Andrea (39-39, 78) is tied for 23rd place after shooting 3-over par in the front and back nine. Gina Larsen (40-39, 79) shot a season low round of 79 and heads into the tournaments final day in a draw for 26th. Sandi MacDougall (39-41, 80) rounds out the FAU golfers in a tie for 33rd place. Every Owl golfer finished in the top half of the field.

Florida Atlantic will complete the two round tournament Monday. The first tee time is set for 8 a.m.
