Palm Beach Gardens, FL( Oct 17, 2006)-- Junior Michael Berger shot an even par in the NSU Fall Classic's final round as Florida Atlantic University completed the course in Palm Beach Gardens, FL.
Berger (70, 77, 72 -219) finished the tournament with a 3-over par showing and paced the Owls with a tie for 3rd place. Mark Washburn (76, 73, 74 -223) also had a good showing at the par-72 course, finishing in a tie for 12th place.
Billy Bowling (77, 77, 76 - 230) and Adam Kolloff (77, 80, 75 -232) both shot their lowest rounds on the final day and placed in a tie for 34th and 39th respectively. Will Cottle (81, 83, 84 - 248) rounded out the FAU competitors and finished the tourney in a tie for 68th.
As a team the Owls (300, 307, 297 - 904) finished in sixth place, 10 strokes behind the dual winners: Florida Gulf Coast (298, 305, 291- 894) and Eckerd (301, 292, 301- 894). The individual medalist was Federico Damus (73, 72, 70- 215) of West Florida who shot a 1-under par scorecard.
FAU is back in action on October 30th when they travel to the Charleston Fall Invitational.
