Palm Beach Gardens, FL (Oct 16, 2006)-- Michael Berger and Mark Washburn both finished in the top fifteen after the first day of action of the NSU Fall Classic. The Par 72 6,806 yard course is at the PGA National Resort & Spa in Palm Beach Gardens, FL.

Berger (70, 77, 147) shot a tournament low round of 70 in the first round. He finished the day shooting 3-over par with a tie for 7th place. Washburn (76, 73, 149) shot 1-over par in the second round, and ended the day tied for 12th place. USC Upstate's Baxter Culler (71, 72, 143) currently leads all golfers after two rounds.

Billy Bowling (77, 77 154) shot 5-over par in both the first and the second round, he completed the day tied for 37th place. Adam Kolloff (77, 80, 157) and Will Cottle (81, 83, 164) finished two rounds 51st and in 69th place.

FAU (300, 307, 607) is in eighth place entering the final round. Eckerd College (301, 292, 593) is currently in first place.

The Owls will complete the NSU Fall Classic Tuesday with the first tee time in the morning.
