Lehtinen named A-Sun Offensive Player of the Week

BOCA RATON, FL -- Susanna Lehtinen was named the Atlantic Sun Offensive Player of the Week for week one of the women's soccer season.

Lehtinen scored three goals in two games, including both game winners against Monmouth (3-0) and USF (1-0). Her three goals already tops her season total as a freshman, when she was named A-Sun Freshman of the Year. She currently leads the A-Sun in goals (three) and points (six).

"Her success is great because it's going to open up things for others. Opponents are going to have to start paying even more attention to her," head coach Brian Dooley said. "It's not like she's lurking around the net. She is just making the best of her opportunities."

Lehtinen and the rest of the Owls will travel to Coral Gables, FL this weekend, where they will battle the University of Miami and UCLA.
