Boca Raton, FL - After completing competition last Sunday at the Ryder Florida Collegiate Championship, the Florida Atlantic women's golf team now looks forward to the Atlantic Sun Conference Tournament, set to tee off Monday.
The tournament, held April 11-13 at Deland, FL, will feature some of the best golfers in the region, several of whom compete for the Owls.
Freshman June Bolme has finished either second or first on the team as well as 26th or better among all individuals in her last three tournaments. Her highest finish of the season came in the El Diablo Intercollegiate, when she finished tied for ninth and led the team to a matching ninth-place finish. Most recently, she finished 26th at the Ryder Florida Collegiate Championship, just one stroke behind teammate Jessica Carafiello, who finished 25th.
Carafiello has had a good season as well, finishing in a 14th place tie at her first spring event, the UCF Invitational. The senior has kept up the pace since, finishing tied for 15th at the El Diablo, and 25th at the Ryder.
FAU will begin competition Monday and complete the A-Sun Tournament Wednesday.
