MACON, GA - Florida Atlantic University's Shontavia Williams and Missy Glaser were among those receiving post-season honors from the Atlantic Sun Conference, announced the A-Sun Tuesday morning. Williams was named to the All-Conference Second Team, and Glaser was named to the All-Freshmen Team.
Williams, a junior, leads FAU with 14.7 points and 5.2 rebounds per game. She has scored in double-figures 16 times this year, including a career-high 38 against Lipscomb in triple overtime on December 2. She needs 40 points to become only the seventh player in FAU history with 1,000 in her career. In the A-Sun, Williams ranks fifth in scoring. She's also the only Owl to have started all 27 games.
Glaser, a redshirt freshman, is third on the team with 7.5ppg. She has started 26 of FAU's 27 games and is also averaging 2.6 rebounds and 1.8 assists per game.
FAU takes part in the A-Sun Tournament Thursday through Saturday at the Dothan Civic Center in Dothan, AL. FAU, the no. 7 seed, faces no. 2 Troy in one of four quarterfinal games Thursday night at 7:00pm EST. The game can be heard live on WLVJ 1040-AM and www.fausports.com.
