Weekend Athletic Events Change Venues

In the aftermath of Hurricane Wilma, Florida Atlantic University has been forced to move several athletic events scheduled for this weekend due to damage on campus. Women's basketball will play its first exhibition game of the season while volleyball is wrapping up its season and will honor its seniors on Saturday.

The Women's basketball exhibition game scheduled for Friday, November 4 versus Florida Gulf Coast has been rescheduled for 5:30 p.m., Sunday, November 6 at Lynn University. The women's volleyball match will remain as scheduled on Saturday, November 5 at 2 p.m., but will be moved to Grandview Preparatory in Boca Raton.

"Due to the severe damage to our gymnasium, we have been forced to move a number of contests. We are very grateful to Lynn University and Grandview Prep for helping us find locations for our events," said Athletic Director Craig Angelos.
