Basketball Bash Ushers in New Season

BOCA RATON, FL - Florida Atlantic University ushered in its 2005-06 basketball season Friday night with the second annual Basketball Bash at FAU Gymnasium. The evening included several giveaways and contests for fans and was capped off by an intrasquad scrimmage.

The team begins practice Saturday in preparation for the regular season. Florida Atlantic enters the 2005-06 season picked sixth in the Atlantic Sun Conference Coaches Poll and fourth in the Media Poll. The Owls return six players from last year's team.

Florida Atlantic will play an exhibition game Nov. 13 against Florida Tech at FAU Gymnasium. The Owls open their regular season Nov. 18 at Colgate.
