Volleyball Wins First Match of the Season

Florida Atlantic (1-1) picked up its first win of the season with a 30-25, 30-20, 30-27 win over Davidson University at the Mizuno Wildcat Classic in Davidson, NC. FAU was paced by 16 kills from Kelly Paiva.
Three players finished the first match of the day with double-digit kills. Middle hitters Iana Andonova and Cayse Kaveny followed Paiva with 14 and 12 kills, respectively.
Krista Klawitter got the starting nod as the team's setter and finished with 48 assists in three games. Defensively, Makra Condill and Paiva led the team with 18 digs each.
The tournament concludes Saturday afternoon when FAU takes on Virginia Commonwealth.
