Macon, GA - Amidst a streak of seven consecutive top-four finishes, Florida Atlantic University's Natalia Navarro was named the Atlantic Sun Women's Golfer-of-the-Month for March as announced by the league office on Thursday afternoon. Navarro, ranked no. 34 individually in the nation, becomes the first golfer in the A-Sun to win player of the month twice.
The senior from Medellin, Colombia finished the month of March with a 75.35 scoring average and three top-four finishes. Navarro finished third at the Lady Moc Classic, firing rounds of 78, 75 and 73, respectively. She followed that up with a second place finish at the El Diablo Intercollegiate, leading the Lady Owls to a third place finish and shooting 220 for the tournament. Navarro finished the month with a fourth place finish at the Hatter Spring Fling, shooting rounds of 77 and 78 to help lead no. 84 FAU to its first win of the season. Navarro has not finished lower than fourth since the first tournament of the season.
The Lady Owls will see action in the Ryder Florida Collegiate Championship this weekend in Miami, FL.
