Weberg Swims at NCAA Championships

Ellie Weberg became the first Florida Atlantic University swimmer to participate at the NCAA Championships since 1997 on Saturday, as the freshman swam in the 100-meter breaststroke.
Weberg (Bloomington, MN) finished 29th in her first NCAA Championship after touching the wall in 1:10.70. She holds the school record and won the 100-yard breaststroke at the National Independent Conference Championships.
Tara Kirk from Stanford won the event in 1:05.44, setting an NCAA, American and U.S. Open record.
Weberg will swim in the 200-meter breaststroke on Saturday in College Station, TX.
