Florida Atlantic University's volleyball team overcame a 2-0 deficit on Saturday night to defeat Georgia State University 3-2 (28-30, 29-31, 30-26, 30-21, 15-13) to remain undefeated in conference play. The Owls improve to 17-4, 7-0 A-Sun, while Georgia State (9-14, 5-2 A-Sun) falls to 9-14, 5-2 A-Sun.
FAU (17-4, 7-0 A-Sun) dropped the first two games by a total of four points before rebounding to take games three and four by hitting .552 in game four. The team had 17 kills and only 1 error in 29 chances. For the night, Florida Atlantic finished with its second highest hitting percentage on the season at .375.
Iana Andonova led the team with 24 kills followed by Cayse Kaveny's 21 kill and seven block performance. Defensively, Makra Condill finished with a match-high 27 digs. Courtenay Kiebert led the team with five service aces and 63 assists.
FAU will face off against UCF on Friday at 7 pm before traveling to Bethune-Cookman on Saturday at 1 pm.
