2003-04 Men's Basketball Schedule Released

BOCA RATON, FL - Florida Atlantic University head men's basketball coach Sidney Green has announced the team's 2003-04 schedule. The slate includes 20 Atlantic Sun Conference games as well as seven non-conference games.
The Owls will begin their regular season November 21 with an away game at South Florida. Four days later, the team will travel to Athens, GA, to take on Georgia. Other non-conference opponents include Florida International, Barry, James Madison, Miami (FL), and Mary Washington.
FAU will play each A-Sun team twice in 2003-04 for a total of 20 games. With 11 teams, including newcomer Lipscomb, the conference will do away with its divisional format from a year ago. The top eight teams will advance to the A-Sun Tournament, March 4-6, in Nashville, TN. FAU begins A-Sun play December 15 at Gardner-Webb with its first home conference game scheduled for January 3 against Mercer.
The Owls will take part in two exhibition games. The first is November 6 against Nova Southeastern with the other game against Florida Gulf Coast on November 11. Both exhibition games are at FAU Gymnasium.
