BOCA RATON, FL - Florida Atlantic University returns to action Sunday afternoon when it faces the University of Louisville in a non-conference battle in Louisville, KY. Tip-off is set for 2:00pm at Freedom Hall with the game being carried live by WLVJ 1040-AM and www.fausports.com.
FAU enters the game with a 1-5 record. Its last outing was a 74-72 loss to Birmingham-Southern on December 20 at the UAB Lady Blazer Classic. FAU is led by Trineca McCleod, who is averaging 12.8 points and 6.7 rebounds per game. Shontavia Williams is also tossing in 10.8 points per game.
Louisville is 6-5 on the year but has won four of its past five games. Senior guard Sara Nord leads the team with 18.6 points per game while freshman center Jazz Covington is averaging 15.6.
This is the second meeting between FAU and Louisville and the first in Louisville. The Cardinals defeated FAU, 83-57, last season at FAU Gymnasium.
The game is the second in three days on the road for the Lady Owls who face South Florida on Tuesday to close out the non-conference portion of their schedule.
