BOCA RATON, FL - Florida Atlantic University's Jessica Polus has been named the Atlantic Sun Conference Women's Golf Player-of-the-Year. Natalia Navarro and Jessica Carafiello also received post-season honors.
Polus, a junior, is coming off an impressive season in which she took medalist honors at the A-Sun Championship while winning another tournament in the process. She finished in the top-five in five additional tournaments. Polus, who completed her first year at FAU after transferring, has won conference tournaments in all three years of collegiate competition.
Navarro was named to the Second-Team All-Conference. Navarro posted a 77.7 stroke average while winning one tournament and finishing in the top-five in four others. That included a third-place finish at the A-Sun Championship.
Carafiello was named to the A-Sun All-Freshmen team. She finished the season with an 82.8 stroke average.
