HOWEY-IN-THE-HILLS, FL - Florida Atlantic University's Jessica Polus took medalist honors at the Atlantic Sun Conference Championship in Howey-in-the-Hills, FL. Polus shot a one-over-par 74 in Wednesday's final round to claim a two-stroke victory. As a team, FAU shot 320 to finish fourth overall in the 54-hole event at the 6,042-yard Mission Inn - El Campeon Course.
Natalia Navarro shot an even-par 73 on Wednesday to finish third overall. FAU's Jessica Carafiello finished 20th.
FAU finished with a three-day total of 951 which was 18 strokes behind first-place Campbell. Central Florida finished second at 938 while Georgia State was third, one stroke ahead of Florida Atlantic.
For Polus, the victory is her third consecutive conference championship individual title. The junior transferred from Southwest Missouri State where she won back-to-back Missouri Valley Conference titles as a freshman and sophomore.
