Women's Tennis Streak Snapped

BLACKSBURG, VA - Florida Atlantic University, ranked no. 71 in the nation, was defeated by Virginia Tech, 5-2, Friday night in Blacksburg, VA in a non-conference women's tennis match. The loss snaps FAU's 11-match winning streak and drops the Lady Owls to 14-5 on the year.
FAU's lone points came in singles play with victories at no. 1 by Alena Dvorakova and no. 3 by Karolina Roubickova. Dvorakova and Maria Aguirre-Gomez also won at no. 2 doubles.
Florida Atlantic closes out its regular season Saturday with a match against no. 11 Virginia Commonwealth, which will also be played in Blacksburg.
