BOCA RATON, FL - Florida Atlantic University had no problem improving to 6-4 on the year in Tuesday's 7-0 win over visiting Georgetown University. The win was the third straight for the Lady Owls. FAU won two of three doubles matches before sweeping the singles slate.
Taking a 1-0 lead into singles, FAU won all but one set to claim the team victory. Alena Dvorakova won at no. 1 with a 6-4, 6-2 victory over GU's Liora Gelblum. Maria Aguirre-Gomez and Tania Rivera picked up wins at no. 2 and 3, respectively, while Karolina Roubickova defeated Trina Snow 6-2, 6-1 at no. 4. Roubickova, ranked no. 98 in the nation, has yet to lose a match this year. FAU's Stephanie Beaulieu and Lara Madonia also picked up singles victories.
In doubles, Dvorakova and Roubickova teamed for a win at no.l while Aguirre-Gomez and Rivera did the same at no. 2.
