DAYTONA BEACH, FL - Florida Atlantic University shot a 319 in Sunday's final round of the Hatter Spring Fling in Daytona Beach, FL. The Lady Owls finished the event tied for sixth with Austin Peay.
FAU's Jessica Polus tied for the low round of the day with a one-over par 73 at the 6,075 yard Indigo Lakes Country Club. Polus finished the tournament in second place, just two strokes behind Florida Southern's Jana Peterkova.
FAU finished the event with a two round total of 639. Florida Southern won with 599. Michigan came in second with 608 while Charleston Southern was third at 618.
Polus, who leads FAU in stroke average, was the only golfer in the tournament to put together two rounds of 74 or better. Natalia Navarro finished second for the Lady Owls with a 158.
Florida Atlantic next takes part in its final regular season tournament beginning April 5 in Miami.
