The Florida Atlantic University women's basketball will face St. John's University in Tuesday's consolation game at the Georgia Tech Atlanta Marriott NW Holiday Invitational. The game is scheduled to begin at 1:00pm EST.
FAU (2-8) is coming off of Monday's 86-78 loss to East Carolina in the first round. Tamica Pierce led FAU with 21 points and 10 rebounds while Angie Rodgers had 19 points and four three-pointers. Pierce leads FAU with 13.6 points per game while Rodgers is averaging 10.1.
St. John's (5-5) lost to host Georgia Tech, 61-53, in Monday's other first round game. The Red Storm's leading scorer is senior guard Danielle Rainey, who is averaging 16.2 points per game. She led St. John's with 13 points in the loss to Georgia Tech.
FAU has never faced St. John's. The game marks the last for FAU in regular season non-conference action.
There is no radio or internet broadcast of FAU's games at the tournament.
