Women's Basketball Visits Miami

The Florida Atlantic University women's basketball team continues its longstanding series against the University of Miami when the two teams square off in a non-conference game December 16 in Coral Gables. The Lady Owls enter the contest 0-6 while the Hurricanes are 3-3.

Tamica Pierce leads FAU with 13.5 points per game and is coming off a season-high 25 points in FAU's last game, a 101-87 loss to Pittsburgh on December 7. Trineca McCleod is second on the team with 9.5 points per game and is tied with Pierce with a team-high 7.0 rebounds per game.

UM is coming off an 81-70 loss at Florida International on Saturday. Overall, the Hurricanes have lost three straight games after opening the season 3-0.

Miami leads the all-time series 13-0. The teams last met December 15, 2001 in Boca Raton where the Hurricanes took a 92-77 victory.
