Florida Atlantic University finished the first round of the Ryder Florida Women's Collegiate Championship tied for 13th place. The Lady Owls posted a 330 at the par-72, 6,238-yard Don Shula's Golf Resort in Miami Lakes, FL. Natalia Navarro led FAU with a six- over 78 and is tied for 27th.
The tournament, which consists of colleges and universities throughout Florida, continues with round two on Saturday and Sunday's final round. The University of Florida leads with a 301 after the first round.
