Florida Atlantic University finished second at the Coca Cola Intercollegiate in Daytona Beach, FL, after falling in a playoff to Jacksonville. The Owls led all teams in Sunday's final round with a 297 on the 6,664-yard, par-72 LPGA International.
Matt Anderson and Michael Bailey each finished tied for fifth overall in leading FAU in the 10-team competition. Both shot five-over par as Bailey fired a one-under 71 on Sunday. Other strong finishes for FAU included Scott Kennedy (152/T-11th) and Paul Rifenberg (153/T-15th).
Florida Atlantic's showing was its best since winning the same tournament two years ago. FAU and JU each finished with 599 after 36 holes.
