Three teams met at Florida Atlantic University's pool. As the weather cooled, the contest heated up with the Lady Owls capturing both contest defeating the University of Cincinnati 109-96 and the University of Delaware 148-57. On the men's side, the Owls were defeated by the Cincinnati 130.50-74.50 and defeated Delaware 166-39.
The Ladies started the meet by capturing the 400 medley. FAU's Andrea Van der Platts won the second event, the 1000 Yard Free with a 10:12.95 time. Tessa Solomon won the 50 free in 24.71, Kristina Kennedy captured the 200 IM (2:13.33) and the 200 breaststroke (2:26.19), Kelly Pancake finished the 200 back two full seconds ahead of the next finisher at 2:09.09.
On the men's side, Cliff Skudin was the first male to capture an event. He swam a 1:44.98 in the 200 free. Dariusz Szymanski, who competed in three individual events, won the 200 butterfly in 1:53.75.
The team will return to the pool, January 3 to face Nebraska, Virginia Tech and Georgia Tech.
