An evenly played match saw Florida Atlantic University's volleyball team edge out the important points to the Lady Owls a 15-11, 15-4, 7-15, 15-13 victory over Trans America Athletic Conference opponent Jacksonville State University.
The victory improved FAU's overall record to 9-17, 5-3 while JSU fell to 9-17, 2-5 in conference play.
Three Lady Owls earned double-digit kills. Lori Lombard tallied 24, while Ashley Bodily and Gracie Heim added 10 each. Stacey Carlson guided the squad's offense with 49 assists.
JSU was led by Kelby Rumph who earned 12 kills, Eysha Ambler and Christina Cary added 11 and 10, respectively.
