Florida Atlantic University's Lisanne Peart was named the Trans America Athletic Conference offensive player-of-the-week, Monday. In addition, Jonas Kolstad received defensive player-of-the-week honors for his efforts in FAU's upset victory of Alabama-Birmingham.
Peart scored four of FAU's five goals in two weekend victories at the Jacksonville University Tournament. She scored three goals in 11 minutes late in Sunday's 3-1 win over Howard University. Peart, a sophomore transfer from St. Thomas University and member of the Jamaican national team, currently is fourth in the TAAC in scoring with 15 points.
On the men's side, Kolstad shutout then-fourth ranked UAB Friday night to help lead FAU to a 2-0 upset victory. Through three games, the sophomore goalkeeper from Norway leads the TAAC with a 1.00 goals against average.
The men play their home opener Wednesday afternoon at 4 pm against South Florida while the women begin their TAAC schedule Wednesday night at Central Florida.
