One of the most accomplished Owls during the early years of the varsity athletics program at Florida Atlantic, Gray was a three-time All-American from 1984 to 1986. She was the seventh Owl in any sport to earn All-American distinction and holds the honor as the school's first women's golfer to do so. After graduating from FAU in 1986 with a degree in communications, Gray competed in the 1986 U.S. Women's Amateur Championship at Pasatiempo and twice competed in the U.S. Women's Open – 1991 at Colonial and 1993 at Crooked Stick. She entered the coaching ranks as the Head Women's Golf Coach at Methodist University in Fayetteville, N.C., where she led the Monarchs to a Division II/III national championship title in 1996 and a national runner-up finish the following year. Now residing in Mattapoisett, Mass., Gray, a member of the PGA of America and LPGA, has spent nearly three decades with golf manufacturer Titleist as the company's supervisor of player research.
